Wow, has it really been 2 months since I blogged something other than snapshots from my iPhone? Here’s what I’ve been up to:
- Evelyn is now 1 year old, and growing bigger every day. I still can’t believe I have a daughter, it’s surreal. Sean and I are amazed by her on a daily basis. I’ve never been more exhausted in my life, but never been happier either.
- Our cable television service is still cancelled, and I really don’t miss it. The fall network season has started, but I’m really not watching any shows. Evie just keeps me too busy in the evenings. What scan free time I have I don’t want to fritter away by watching television. Project Runway and Battlestar Galactica (when it starts it’s final season) are obvious exceptions.
- I upgraded my camera from a Canon Powershot S5 IS to a Nikon D90, my first DSLR. It’s a lot more complex than the Canon point and shoot cameras that I’m used, but I’m having a blast learning how to use it. I’ve learned more about photography in the past week than I had in the past year. Also: buying camera gear is insanely addictive.
- After months of waiting, I finally took delivery of a 2009 Mini Cooper S Clubman. It’s an absolute blast to drive, and it certainly stands out among all the boring Priuses tooling around Madison.
